About
A printed atlas figure fixes the viewing angle and the boundaries, and desktop neuroimaging tools ask for an install and a dataset before you can look at anything. Pial Atlas puts real FreeSurfer surfaces, cortical annotations, deep structures and an MNI population template into one 5.4 MB file that opens in Chrome or Edge with no server. You switch between the Desikan-Killiany, Destrieux, Yeo 7 and Yeo 17 parcellations on the same cortex, morph from pial to white, inflated, spherical and flat surfaces without losing the selected parcel, lift 27 aseg structures out of the brain, and slice it along three planes against matching MNI T1 sections. A Python pipeline fetches and hash-checks the source data and aligns everything into MNI152 space; the renderer is Three.js with label lookups in the shaders.
